wow...now we hear that joseph is leaveing......

God works in mysterious ways........

trust is key....if we have a youth pastor that isnt joseph....that means he WILL NOT BE LIKE JOSEPH..........dont take it out on the new guy because hes different

parallel to this is the catholics....they got a new pope.....people feel threatened by him because he is more conservative then john paul........sure its natural to feel threatened by something new......but that isnt the new persons fault is it?

give him a chance........who knows......it might be theo :P

wow 10 months since ive posted here..... and to think about how weve grown (hopefully) is nice, who would have imagined that gids would be leaving in a year back then?....certainly not me.....

anyways...this is a bible study (supposedly right?) so now were gonna get into the thick of things, 2 major subjects that i dont have the answer to, but you will have to figure out yourself. i can give my opinions, but ultimatly you gotta decide yourself.... im just trying to bring to attention somethings we should all think about, and throw a few arguments out there....dont gotta respond but if you do...uhm...dont do it here cuz i dont check this often as you can see. dogabutila@juno.com or www.xanga.com/dogabutila

first off is pre-destination, theres diff types of this...one of those is calvinism..... basically they claim that since God is omnicient he knows everyhing, and omnipotent, that he can do everything. no arguments there right? but they claim that some people are predestined to become christians and others.......arnt as lucky.....

you all can see probs there right? first i see is that i always learned that god let us sin because we had to make choices...... he dont want us to be robots forced to love him...ect.....but then....whats this?

they also claim that people cannot resist God's grace, otherwise it woulndt be predestination right? prob with this is that IF God loved the world....the WHOLE would....wouldnt he then predestin all of us to go to heaven?

i think im missing something in their arguments because people cant believe that without realising the rest right?....some1 enlighten me........

other topic is rebelling against authority.....some people claim that it is always wrong. others that it is at times. and others that authority sucks and should always be rebelled against

basically....god put authority into place...... so we shouldnt mess with his plan....agreed with that...but...what if...by changing who the authority is, and insituting a new government, we are being used bu God......ie. america....we are a bunch of rebels....

anyways ill expand later...at the library and im runnin outta time

common misconception in the bible....

the bible DOES say "do not judge"...but it goes on...."lest you be judged" (matthew7.1-4)

and if you read the next verse, it tells that you will be judged according to how you judged others

its ok to judge...just remember that however you do it, you will also he held to the same standards.

think of that 1 person that you always judge horribly....say they suck, or whatever....can you stand up to how you yourself if judging them? maybe not in that particular way, but if you extend that to other area's?......can you

verse 5 "first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye"

Did God create Evil? This will make you think for a while?   At a certain college, there was a professor with a reputation for being tough on Christians. At the first class every semester, he asked if anyone was a Christian and proceeded to degrade and mock their statement of faith.
One semester, he asked the question and a young man raised his hand when asked
if anyone was a Christian. The professor asked, "Did God make everything,
young man?"
"Yes he did, sir," the young man replied. The professor responded, "If God made everything, then God made evil, and if we can only create from within ourselves, then God is evil."  The student didn't have a response and the professor was happy to have once again proved the
Christian  faith to be a myth.

think on that.....replys or thoughts def welcome

in regards to the recent posts by xcodex

i feel that code is right in a few ways, how? lemme show you:

1) our tg DOES have a prob with welcoming new people and such

2) we CAN do more to try and fix the prob

3) we DONT have to spend all friday and sunday with our friends, we CAN go over to the new person*

-----

we need to fix these problems dont we? when some1 points out something wrong arnt you going to listen? instead of bashing and yelling back saying that "you aint so good too" or "well we're working on it" (ok yea im guilty of this too) shouldn't we thank them? give them points at least for being able to come out and say something negitive,  i mean, look at all the posts and crap written about code, just cuz he/she said something bad bout us, albeit in a rude way, but it was a wake up call, telling us that we need to do more

and then what do we do? we who are supposed to be officers, and if not that, people who are very active in the tg? we go and basically brush them off, tell them that they cant tell us what were doing badly cuz they aint part of our group, aint that even being "groupy"?

just because he/she did not know (im giving benifit of doubt) that we knew about the prob and wanted to bring it up, were gonna yell back? whats up with that?\\\\\\\\\woulndt it be better to say "thanks we knew, were trying to fix it" and do it politely than say "we hate you cuz your rude and you say negitive things about us?" (yea..again i did that...well...not exactly)

.....like we pointed out so many times....... being baptised dont make you better...it symbolises that your christian right?+ ...and christians are trying to GET better....lets all learn a lesson and get better.......live n let live right? forgive n forget....

gotta give points to code for being brave enough to go agaist the flow......and you all cant blame the person for useing a psudonymÞ to do it, cuz maybe the person wanted to be anonymus...cuz he/she knew bout the crap he/she was gonna have to take for giving the wakeup call

how many other people here spoke up cuz they saw something wrong, even tho they knew full well that they werte gonna get slammed?  i havent, well...ok i lied......ok well.....i havent recently...... but you all get my point here right?

when the teacher gives you a prob @ school, even if you were trying to solve it before and coulndt really...... are you gonna yell at the teacher?   why we doin it here then?

lets all learn a lesson here.....

~~~~~~~~~~~
tips for the next code
1) be more polite
2) be less sarcastic/bashing
3) offer a diff method of solving (if poss) ¶
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

* they can also be more active....

+we dont gotta keep being all like "your stupid cuz you dont know what baptism is" either

Þeven tho the psudomyn was really gay....

¶aint always possible too.....i know...but it really does help if we get one
